Fall practice started today for the C-USA defending champs, the UCF Knights! Yes kids, this means football is just around the corner! Exciting times!!! Remember many of the practices are open to the public so go check them out yourself.

Editors Note: Sami will be back again this year passing along his weekly analysis of games. To start things off here are his predictions for the 2008 football season!
2008 UCF Football Early Predictions
It is getting closer boys and girls. We are only 40 days from kicking off the 2008 College Football season. UCF had a memorable season in 2007 and looks to continue the ride. Last season we witnessed the opening of Brighthouse Networks Stadium and the power that having our own on campus stadium can provide. UCF also brought home it’s first major piece of silverware in the form of the C-USA trophy. UCF has some great opportunities to make some noise this season and hopefully they will be able to. Feel free to give me your insight, comments, or questions on the early predictions. Also, look forward to my usual pre-game write ups once the season starts.

Got these from a thread on UCFSports.com. I don’t think they’d have a problem with me posting here, but if someone does just let me know. Here are two to start off with, the first from Modsquad and the second from Gnar Knight. Great stuff, although I guess they’ve been around for awhile I just saw them so they are new to me.
Sneak Peak at New Uniform?

Here’s a preview image from the greatest game ever known to man, NCAA Football by EA Sports. The 2009 version is going to be out on July 15th and the good news is BHNS will be included this year as you can see below. Also the thing that I’m sure sticks out to you about this picture is the black uniform. The question is what that a mistake or does EA Sports know something we don’t?
I’d love to see us come out in BLACK for the USF game. Looks sweet with the white helmet.

Organized Bus Trip to Miami

A reader sent me an email that he has setup a bus trip to the UCF @ Miami football game on Oct 11th and has a few seats left. Looks like a great trip so if you are interested please take a look at the PDF and email Robert.
Even if you already have arrangements made (as I do) you should still take a look at the PDF just to read the requirements section. LOVE IT!
Amazing 3D Knightro Head

So I’m breaking out from my normal extended hiatus between basketball and football seasons to show you some fantastic creations of Knightro’s head in 3D. These images are from Jason Dalpra who a recent mechanical engineering grad at UCF. Jason was gracious enough to send them my way to put up on this site!
I’m going to see if I can incorporate them somewhere permanently on the site because I personally think they are pretty killer. One thing is for sure tough– I’m getting excited, football season is fast approaching!

Although we didn’t get to know Ereck very well on the football field, his accomplishments off of it in the game of life seem nothing short of amazing. It appears he’s touched so many already in his short life. From everything I’ve read he was the type of kid that any parent would dream of having, a great role model for others to look up to. It’s all such a shame.
RIP Ereck Plancher, you left us all too soon.
